Etta Janet "Foxy" Sondheim

Etta Janet "Foxy" Sondheim was the former wife of dress manufacturer Herbert Sondheim and the mother of famed composer Stephen Sondheim. The daughter of Lithuanian Jews from Vilna that later moved to Harlem, she attended Parsons School of Design and later served as the chief designer of her husband's clothing company. The exact year of her birth is disputed.
