Three sweater ensembles featured in the 1984 Parsons School of Design annual fashion show, in which Jacobs won the J.C. Penney Student Designer-of-the-Year Award. As indicated on the front side of the illustration, these designs also won the Perry Ellis Award. (Jacobs became the vice-president of the company just a few years after his graduation.) The back of the illustration includes information about the materials used and their prices, as well as layouts for the pattern pieces. Three sets of fabric and yarn samples are attached to the front, which include wool, jersey, and flannel materials.
