June 9 1982

While this event is not described in the course catalog, the recording represents one of the New York Photojournalism Lectures that were part of Parsons School of Design's Focus '82 programming. The panel consists of five photographers currently featured in an exhibition at SoHo Photo. Jim Sheldon leads the discussion and participants show slides from their travels in Afghanistan, telling the story behind each photograph. The five speakers (in speaking order) are Jacques Charlas, Jim Sheldon, Gianfranco Gorgoni, Lauren Stockbower, Steve McCurry, and an unidentified presenter, referred to as Ross (possibly Ross Baughman). The event ends with questions from the audience.
