Depicts stage at annual Parsons School of Design Mardi Gras costume ball. Parsons School of Design President Pierre Bedard in costume on far left. Woman on stage holding fur stole is likely costume judge and Parsons alumna Melanie Kahane. Judge and Saks Fifth Avenue display designer Henry Callahan stands next to Kahane. Judge and fashion designer Norman Norell second from right. The man standing next to Norell may be fellow costume judge and fashion designer Charles James. According to the Parsons Alumni Newsletter of March 1954, this event was held at the City Center Ballroom. This print was folded in half, resulting in the vertical line visible in the image.
