“The Doc Will See You Now” prioritizes informal, digitally-facilitated interactions through light and architecture, setting up a new norm in receiving and providing care in the context of a digital revolution in healthcare. This thesis aims to investigate the spatial and social relationships between doctor and patient - considering lighting conditions that responds to the human body in visual and non-visual ways, investigating how digital care is influencing medical practice, re-establishing the civic identity of the hospital, and finally, setting up an environment to see the doctor, virtually, anywhere and everywhere.
