“Architainment” is a new method in urban lighting design, mainly as a result of the artistic and technical crossover, between Architecture and Entertainment Technology. Beyond entertainment lighting, it includes other media such as sound, video, and even animatronics, “Architainment” can be used to dramatize public spaces, and my thesis focuses in the use of theatrical lighting techniques in an urban landscape, showing great attention to detail, very careful and precise emphasis to provoke emotions and spectacle, with a minimalist approach to achieve the effect, to improve urban aesthetic, social interaction, and sustainable cities in the constructed environment.
