Description

Urban lighting should support social well-being to enhance a sense of belonging with places where people live, and to connect with each other. This proposal will apply these principles to the traffic islands outside the Flatiron building by using three lighting design elements; light as pattern, as interaction and as volume in order to connect space to space, people to space, and people to people.
