Lull and Splendor is a record of my negotiation between the bookends of the past and present. The haunting weight of history on the present moment anchors my artistic practice. My photographs depict solitary figures submerged in vast, sprawling landscapes. In frozen moments, culled from the continuous flow of time, these figures are engaged in the discipline of waiting, of anticipation. The subject of my work is the moments at which the past and the present collide. These images are the visual echo of those moments.
