My drawings are made on one piece of paper. Only one. The actual space I use is approximately 1x1 decimeter. I subsequently draw, erase and redraw, many times over, on that same piece of paper. I photograph this entire process by capturing each new line, clearly documenting every mark added, as well as every mark erased. Over time the space quickly develops a history, a past, as it is left with a large amount of scars. These scars begin to function as wounds, leaving the papers surface more and more violated. The past is very much present. It scars the foreground, scars the bodies of my characters.
