In the Window series I began a rigorous photographic investigation of light, vision and the idea of a threshold. Domestic windows are objects of In each image the light through a curtain occludes a view. I am interested in this threshold, where our sight is interrupted and the border disappears in the diffused light. The piece uses the repetition of the window as a structure as well as formal details to create a tight series where subtle differences are visible. The window is the element that holds all the other elements in the series together. It is the determining focus of relation.mediation between inside and outside, private and public, familiar (the home) and foreign, and even perhaps between self and world. I began photographing the windows of the house in which I grew up and moved on to the homes of close friends.
