I am concerned with observing and recording natural phenomena in which the fundamental property of light is integral and paramount to the inspiration, method and execution of my work. In this work, chance and unpredictability play a significant role, nonetheless within a circumscribed vision, exploring the immaterial yet tangible, and fragile yet sustaining force. The presence or the remnant of a visual trace created by light leads to a feeling of surprise that serves as an overall function of the work. Moreover, the seemingly dichotomous visual traces representing both the positive and negative aspects of light, present through time and history, engage the viewer in a state of surprise and wonder.
