Description

SmartPet is an Internet of Things project designed for long-distance couples. The SmartPet project aims to narrow the psychological and communicational gap between young long-distance couples by designing a SmartPet system that connects with a couple. A couple can raise a robotic Macaroni penguin together both virtually and in their real life and complete tasks in an app to enhance their relationship. This paper documents the creation and research of this Internet of things project.
