Description

Hi Maroon is an interactive and educational vegetable planting kit which can be used at home for promoting young children to be familiar with and improving their perceptions toward vegetables and ultimately encouraging their healthy food choices. Because of limited awareness of produce and motivation of consumption and insufficient parental guides to help their understandings, it is not easy to open children to try vegetables. Hence, the design involves children interacting by sets of input-feedback models with a vegetable “character” which is an actual plant they grow in a pot. Through listening to vegetable’s stories as the feedback of children’s input like watering, shedding the light, and adjusting the temperature, for instance, children can explore the food throughout the period of nurturing their own vegetable plants.
