Description

A recollection of a personal experience as a female gamer of color, and how that has impacted my creation practice. I intend to share my perspective growing up playing popular games and MMORPGS, and the transition into the knowledge of Gamergate, and my current studies. It was interesting because even though I didn't know what GamerGate was when it happened, I was still effected by it. I hope to teach the audience about a perspective that may or may not resonate with them and how the issues of race, gender, and equality bleed into other areas of our lives and ultimately our stances on them impact not just ourselves, but the generations that will grow up on the back of those micro-aggressions.
