AURA is a speculative interaction design that explores the future of listening to music as a solo experience. Imagine a world where electronic devices have become screen-less, embedded into our bodies, and our music playlists are automatically generated based on our state of mind within the environment. Music consumption has evolved over the last centuries from live performance to purchasing albums to freely streaming songs. Now, brain controlled technology has been integrated with musical curation for a refined listening experience. As biosensors enhance in understanding our brain activity, AURA will determine the user’s preferences through machine learning and generate a personal music playlist without physically making choices.
