Description

Designer's statement: This project looks at the social media obsession phenomenon and highlights the relationship between Religion and Social Media as well as digital consumption by focusing on practices of them both. Digital Devotion is multifaceted and uses digital tools as a form of social experiments such as social media as a method to demonstrate how our compulsion with digital consumption as well as subverting existing religious universal imagery. The social experiments took place online and in the physical world. It is a critical design project that provokes users to question our state of indulging ourselves with digital tools. The project employs irony, humor that reflects an implication of loss of our human race.
