TheFundLife is an online community that supports the breast cancer community emotionally and financially through sharing stories and micro-philanthropy. There is healing through interactive narrative storytelling, an explored interaction that practices the power of storytelling in the healing and supporting process of dealing with breast cancer. Moreover, theFundLife emphasizes the categorization within the content of the stories, allowing woman to share and read stories that pertain particular to oneʼs experience.
Along with the emotional support, theFundLife practices micro-philanthropy, where individuals fund individuals. This reflects on how funds have been used previously in the breast cancer community, proposing solutions that could make impacts on current healthcare and the outlook on future funds.
The audience for my thesis project is the breast cancer community. This includes breast cancer patients, survivors, co-survivors and supporters of breast cancer.
The content of theFundLife is community driven with initial prompts which reflect the emotions and physical states of the audience, encouraging interactions with sharing of personal stories.
