Description

Revenant is a musically choreographed run and gun video game. Enemies, platforms, and the whole environment of the game react to the music and challenge the player to memorize the different rhythms to traverse the levels.

The core of the gameplay consists of pattern recognition, dodging incoming attacks, and shooting the enemies at the right moment. Players have to "learn" the music, as well as how the enemy and the world they are in react to that music, and then go through the level with a strategy for those patterns.

Different instruments and the rhythmic patterns they make dictate different enemies and environment behaviors. Almost all of the hazards you face in the game coincide with the music that is playing at the time you encounter them.
