Description

My thesis is an experiential audio narrative about three women in the form of a film that investigates the growing obsession with body image.

Parallels is a film highlighting the lives of three female characters who are unrelated to one another yet are all struggling with the issue of body image. The film uses binaural audio techniques to place the audience in the role of each of the three main characters. Through this personalized experience the audience is encouraged to listen and imagine each character without being able to judge them by their appearances. The narrative relates to thousands of women and how they struggle on a daily basis with this issue.
