New School for Social Research (New York, N.Y. : 1919-1997). Human Relations Center
The event on the first recording begins in the middle of an exchange between Richard Levy and participants in a class, discussing aspects of child psychology. The first recording ends while the class is still in session. The second recording begins in the middle of Levy reading and responding to a written question from a member of the class. He distributes course materials to class participants, after which he lectures on the subject Jean-Jacques Rousseau's Social Contract. These recordings may be fragments from Levy's lecture, "On the Analytic Interpretation of the Psychology of Women," or another lecture from Anne Steinmann's course,Male Dilemma and Female Quandary: the search for greater understanding between men and women in today's society
