Naming ceremony at The New School, with an unveiling of plaques to the honorees. The original structure at 66 West 12th Street was named for the school's first president, Alvin Johnson, and the attached addition was named for J.M. Kaplan. A third building at 11th Street, attached to the others by way of an interior courtyard and elevated walkway, was named for Albert A. List.
