Chaim Gross, sculptor and printmaker is depicted with a student in an art studio at The New School. Chaim Gross joined The New School's art faculty in 1950, and taught at the school until 1988. Parts of the background of the photograph is masked out for printing purposes, a standard method before digital editing of photographs were available.
