Description

Statement by students in the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research. The students had recently staged a disruption of a course, The Abiding Quest for Freedom, taught by New School chancellor, Harry Gideonse, challenging Gideonse's authority to address the subject of academic freedom based upon actions he'd taken to suppress dissent on campus when he was president of Brooklyn College.
