1955 – 1964
33.5 in (width) x 16 in (height)
Plaid women's ensemble with a knee-length pencil skirt, ribbed turtleneck sweater, and a long boxy coat with a stand-up collar, hip pockets, and three-quarter length sleeves. The ensemble is paired with a cane, brimmed hat, gloves, and low pointed heels with straps. The inscription "P.59" suggests that this was used for a magazine or newspaper editorial (possibly Mademoiselle or The New York Times).
