Day dress featuring a midi-length flared skirt, short sleeves, small buttons down the center of the bodice, and what appears to be bands of striped or ribbed fabric on the waistline, neckline, sleeve cuffs, and the center of the bodice. As indicated in the inscription, this dress was intended to be worn with a jacket with stitched lapels, and is possibly made from the small swatch of blue fabric that is attached to the sketch.
