Description
Polka dot dress with a knee-length flared skirt, belted waist, and contrast fabric found on the short puff sleeves and attached gilet. The gilet is topped with a band pulled through casing to produce a shirred effect. Sketch also includes a partial view of the back of the bodice that shows a small bow at the neckline. Although color is not indicated, it appears that the dress and matching hat were colored with navy and black graphite.
