Description

Knee-length, double-breasted cape coat featuring a fitted waist, wide hem, funnel-shaped sleeve cuffs, and broad welt side pockets. This coat was featured in both Harper's Bazaar and Vogue in October 1968, and is currently housed in the University of North Texas' fashion collection. The sketch also includes a swatch of bordeaux-colored fabric (a favorite of Norell's), although it is uncertain if the coat was ever produced with this material.
