Description
Beige taffeta women's ensemble featuring a cropped jacket with notched collar and an ankle-length split skirt that buttons from the waist to the knees. As indicated in the inscription, the jacket also features paneled sides. This ensemble was featured in the New York Times in January 1968, where it is described as being influenced by 1917 daytime suits. This exact sketch was also used for Norman Norell's plaque on the "Fashion Walk of Fame" in New York City.
