Description

Floor-length, double-breasted "house gown" featuring broad welt side pockets, satin sleeve cuffs, and a satin notched collar. Inscription includes a number of fabric names, indicating that this garment may have been made with wool, jersey, broadcloth, or double wool crepe. This coat (or a very similar coat) is currently housed in the University of North Texas' fashion collection, where it is found in red wool with a white satin collar and sleeve cuffs.
