Description

Unknown woman (possibly Claudia Morgan) modeling an evening coat from Norell's autumn/winter 1970 collection in the doorway of what appears to be the designer's studio, with an audience visible in the mirror. The long coat includes a wide matching belt, oversized standing fur collar, oversized fur sleeve cuffs, and an extra wide fur border that covers the bottom half of the coat's flared skirt. This exact coat design was featured in an advertisement for Qiana nylon, which indicates that it was made with green velvet (by Qiana) and white sable trim. The coat was also featured on the cover of the September 15, 1970 issue of Vogue.
