Description

Contact sheet depicting singer, actress, and television personality Dinah Shore modeling four evening ensembles by Norell. One ensemble features a tunic style evening dress with fur trim, which is shown being fitted on Shore by Norell and two unidentified women in one of the images. A second ensemble appears to be a dress with a long-sleeved dark top with a turtle neckline, which is diagonally attached to a very full skirt that is cut just above-the-knee. The other two ensembles appear to be full-length brocade dresses with full skirts. One includes three-quarter length sleeves with fur trim, and the other is sleeveless with a slit down the front skirt that reveals a pair of pants underneath. Shore was known for being one of Norell's loyal clients, and purchased many of his pieces throughout the 1960s.
