Loose sketch in pencil and watercolor of a principal dancer's costume. The sketch also incorporates fabric swatches.

Principal / —> sleeves are very important / sleeve start at shoulder attached to leotard / Bea Feitler 1972 ;THE LARK ASCENDING / First female soloist / Leotard and tights--same color (orange) / first skirts / pleated orange georgette and the inserts triangular pie shapes in mauve (unpleated) / second skirts / resting low on the hips plain mauve georgette / all skirts are composed of pie shaped pieces with a princess line in front and rear--V shaped more severe in front then in rear./ The length of these skirts are not even depending upon the line of the leg.
