Description

Bonwit Teller Mother's Day themed window display featuring a mother statue that is meant to be a mermaid, witha  snorkel, bikini top, wetsuit bottoms, a fishing spear, and fish. The statue stands at the topmost tier of the display, surrounded by handbags, jewelry, perfume, and other Mother's Day gift ideas. All the windows in this series feature different statues of mother characters, with this one being called the "Mermaid Mother". A banner at the bottom reads: "How do you figure Mother? Is she a mermaid in the swim of things? Her special Bonwit gift will figure high on Mother's Day."
