Description

Bonwit Teller window display featuring women's junior ensembles and a background with draped crepe paper in blue and green. The mannequins are wearing dresses made of flannel, with hats, gloves, purses, heeled shoes and jewelry. A banner at the bottom of the display advertises the fashionable outfits - "Bonwit's Junior Fashionables take notice - our wonderful flannels for day or date."

J32/ Bonwit Teller/ October Issue 1954/ One of minor series featuring daytime wear for juniors. Thin wood frame fastened on floor concealed by draped lengths of royal blue and lime green crepe paper. Color combination intensifies textural similarity to costumes. Blue, pink, lights, white lights in floor well in front of blue backwall.
