Description

Bonwit Teller window display featuring a women's ensemble designed by Pauline Trigère. The background is inspired by Shakespeare's "Richard II", with painted backdrop of a scene from the play as well as a metal structure in the foreground of the window. The mannequin is wearing a gown with a short hooded coat, jewelry, and heeled shoes. The mannequin is standing with its back to the window. A banner at the bottom of the display reads "Gala Premier... Bonwit's pure drama of an evening... by Trigère... Designers Sixth Floor... Gala Premier of the Old Vic on Tuesday evening October 23rd at the Wintergarden... our setting inspired by Shakespeare's Richard II."
