Description

Bonwit Teller window display featuring a women's ensemble by designer Maurice Rentner. The background of the window display is inspired by Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," with an elaborate painting of a castle as well as a hanging plant fixture. The mannequin is wearing a gown with a tulle skirt, elbow length gloves and a hat with feathers. A banner at the bottom of the display reads "Gala Premier... Bonwit's pure drama of an evening by Maurice Rentner... Designers Sixth Floor... Gala Premier of the Old Vic on Tuesday evening October 23rd at the Wintergarden... our setting inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet"
