Bonwit Teller window display featuring a dress with a Christmas tree from Valerian S. Rybar's "Christmas Trees Through the Ages". The floor is covered with snow, and the Christmas tree stands upon a miniature snowbank. This particular tree is in medieval style, with a silver foil base and the tree tiers trimmed with silk coats of arms and topped by a knight's helmet piece with yellow and red plumes. The mannequin is wearing a mink and red velvet negligee and is holding a delicately wrapped gift in one hand.

Bonwit Teller/ Lingerie/ Dis. Dis: Gene Moore/ Setup: In this Bonwit's Christmas series, each window features a different tree from Valerian S. Ryber's "Christmas Trees Through The Ages". Here a medieval tree is shown with silver foil base, the three tiers trimmed with silk coats of arms and topped by a knight's face piece with red and yellow plumes. 'Snow' is mounded on the floor. Wall: Painted blue and flooded with blue light from floor troughs. The setting is a perfect one for the rich red of the negligee the mannequin is wearing. The upper part of the window is trimmed on the outside with hanging ropes of greenery, studded with miniature lights./ Card Copy: OH WHAT A MAGICAL TIME IS CHRISTMAS! A GIFT TIME...
