The Women Writers of the Diaspora series, organized by The New School for Public Engagement, celebrates literature written by women from the African diaspora. This lecture features Patricia Spears Jones and is moderated by Celesti Colds Fechter, associate dean of academic services for the Schools of Public Engagement. The recording begins with an introduction by Fechter, then Jones reads a number of her poems. At the end of the lecture, Jones answers questions from Fechter and from the audience.
