Inspiring Women celebrates a selection of graduates and former faculty of Parsons School of Design--creative, multi-talented women who made their way in the world as working designers, educators, mentors.
Curated by Alexandra Anderson and PJ Carlino, Inspiring Women was funded in part by Parsons’ School of Art and Design History and Theory under the direction of Hazel Clark, inaugurating an internship program for masters students to gain curatorial experience in the using the archives. Ann Snitow, Associate Professor of Literature and Gender Studies of Eugene Lang College invited the exhibition to open in conjunction with the conference, No Longer in Exile: The Legacy and Future of Gender Studies at the New School. Rachael Stollar, MFA Photography student at Parsons created a video preview for the exhibition.
