Description

A model wears an ensemble of checked silk and cotton, with a full-gore skirt, and a linen jacket. The jacket fastens in the back, the dress' bow fastens in front. Designed by Parsons School of Design student Frank Rizzo, this ensemble was awarded the Silver Thimble by fashion designer Mildred Orrick.

New York/ MUrray Hill 3-8031/ Contact: Kay Martin./ WHAT...A Silver Thimble, given by Mildred Orrick for the outstanding costumer designed under her critical eye, was awarded this outfit of checked silk and cotton. It has a full 8 gore bias skirt with crisscross bias straps and a contrasting white linen jacket with a bow of the dress fastened in front. The jacket buttons up the back./ WHO... This young designer, Frank Rizzo, has been the hard-working recipient of second and third year scholarships awarded by the Parsons School of Design.
