Description

Bes isn’t the kind of dog who wants to hurt anyone. So when she’s sent out on a grisly rat hunt in a New York City alley, she’s relieved to find meet a worldly rat who offers an easy way out. But what she finds instead is an underworld rife with mystery and danger—hybrid creatures, rushing rivers, speeding subways, hostile inhabitants— and she soon learns that her new friend is leading her astray in more ways than one.
