Going Over the Top is a poetic sequence that tells the story of the war-time relationship between Benjamin Ackerman (a fictional character) and Wilfred Owen. Most of the events referenced are drawn from Owen's biography, though they are told from Ackerman's perspective. A mix of poems, dialogues, and redacted letters (taken from Owen's Selected Letters) forms the narrative sequence.
