Based on the casual design and un-buttoned bodice, this sketch presumably depicts a floor-length housecoat with a wide belted waist, long loose sleeves, and buttons extending from top to bottom along the center front. The inscription indicates that the garment was designed for Miss Tony Von Horn, presumably referring to Toni Von Horn (also known as Tony), a professional female photographer who worked for Conde Nast in the 1930s.
