Description

Calf-length, thin wool street coat with bands of inset tucking that tie into bows at the waist and neckline, and are also found on the high collar, skirt, bodice, and sleeve cuffs. The sketch includes two swatches of green fabric and a small view of the back of the coat showing an additional band of inset tucking extending down the center. The coat is worn with a clutch purse and vagabond style hat that appears to include a small pleated embellishment. Notes indicate that the coat was designed for a Mrs. Roth.
